Sharlene Carter was supported in the early stages of developing her new Hip Hopthetare show through the CBD partnership programme. Sharlene has subsequently gone on to secure a grant from Arts Council England and support through a major Crowdfund to take her show to full production. Get your tickets for 13:60 at the Broadway Barking here:

A moving autobiographical work from Sharlene Carter which reveals the kaleidoscopic relationship she has had with her mum Patricia since 2005.

13:60 is a poignant hip hop theatre piece, bursting with socio-political content that reflects Sharlene’s role as a carer. Directed by Liza Vallance and with music from Torben Lars Sylvest, this is a story that needs to be heard. How does the every day life of a mother/daughter relationship change, once disability & the new role of being a carer become the norm.

Supported by Arts Council England, London Borough of Barking & Dagenham & Studio 3 Arts.
