GLOW Winter Lights Festival at Eastbury Manor House
Friday 25th and Saturday 26th November, 2016, 5-10pm
On Friday 25th November and Saturday 26th November the house and grounds of Eastbury Manor House were completely transformed for Barking and Dagenham's first winter lights festival.
We had over 2000 visitors over the two nights and have received some fantastic coverage across social media and the press. The Barking and Dagenham Post this week features some fantastic moments from the festival!
In the lead up to the festival some of the artist selected worked with over 700 local residents in workshops and capturing their stories of the area and Manor House. The wider programme for GLOW has been selected by our Cultural Connectors. The Cultural Connectors are our amazing network of local residents who are working together to create new and fun ways for local people to experience great arts and creative activities. They have chosen a combination of artworks for GLOW, some found through researching artists that are working with light and others through writing an artists open call for artists asking for ideas that respond to Eastbury Manor House. We're especially delighted that 4 of our Cultural Connectors were presenting their own artworks and creative
projects over the festival weekend.
The artworks, selected have been created by established local, national and international artists, take a look at the programme for more information on the artists, and click through to their own websites below for their other projects.
