Bring your stall to Thamesfest 2017
This year Thamesfest will feature the Silk River project and we will be celebrating the river on Saturday 16th September between 12pm and 6pm at the Rivergate Centre and a river walk will take place throughout the borough on Monday 18th September. The 2017 programme includes 3 shows from the Royal Opera House with a range of opera and ballet, James Wilton Dance brings ‘Leviathan’ (based on the story of Moby Dick) and local groups will bring their own making activities for all to get involved with on the day.
Thamesfest will be taking place on Saturday 16th September 2017 between 12 noon and 6pm and we are looking for a whole range of stalls to join us on the day. We are looking for local groups to share their projects at information stalls, local makers to sell their wares and food and drinks stalls to keep our audiences going throughout the day!
If you're interested in joining us, please fill in the form below, and our steering group (made up of Barking and Dagenham residents) will be making decisions to ensure we have the best range of stalls available.
Sizes: Tables are 7ft x 3ft with a covering that runs across two tables at a time (14ft long in total). Please advise us of your requirements when completing the form below.
To apply: please complete the form below by Sunday 20th AUGUST 2017.
Please note, that Barking and Dagenham residents will be given priority, but we welcome people from all over who would like to join us.
This year, with our increasing ambition for bigger audiences and fantastic acts, performances and activities there is increasing pressure to raise income for the festival. We have therefore decided, based on great audience figures from the past two years, to increase the costs of the stalls to help support the programme.
Costs for stalls are as follows:
- Van (Hot Food/ice cream) - £100 per van.
- Food stalls serving main meals - £80
- Food stalls not serving main meals - £65
- Facepainting - £60
- Craft stalls - £30
- Information / charity stalls - £10
If you wish to sell food and drink, you must be able to provide us with the following documents.
Are you a local resident to the Rivergate Centre and Riverside? We want to hear from you to! In order to encourage local people to be part of the stalls at Thamesfest we will be offering a discount rate to local Riverside residents, please get in touch for more information and when completing the form please provide your postcode in the stalls description.
We very much welcome people sharing stalls, whether you are a craft maker or a cake maker. If for example the cost is too high we can team you up with someone else for the day or you might have someone in mind to share with? It is a great way to have a wider variety on offer and plenty of stock for the busy festival!
Deadline for applications Sunday 20th August 2017.
You will be informed if you are successful and subsequent deadlines for payments and sending information documents by Friday 25th August.
