The summer festival season will be on us again soon enough and we are looking for some brilliant stallholders to cook up some great food, sell their wares or share information about their project or organisations. Year on year the resident led CBD festivals have continued to attract thousands of visitors to both DAGFEST in Dagenham Village and as part of THAMESFEST at Barking Riverside. And as with previous years the steering groups, made up of local people and Cultural Connectors, aim to offer a wide range of fun, family friendly activities and brilliant and unique performances to inspire and wow audiences.

We would love for you to join our festivals this year. If you are interested and available in coming to DAGFEST on Saturday 7th July 2018 and/or interested in us getting in touch with you about attending Thamesfest (Date TBC) please complete the form and details outlined below. All submissions will be put to our steering groups, who work hard to ensure a balance of types of stalls on offer, so there is variety for our audiences as well as be able to support local businesses and organisations.

We welcome a cross section of stall applications from food to craft to not for profit organisation information stalls. Our festival steering group will make decisions about the stalls considering the following criteria:

  • How appropriate is the stall for the festival? As a vibrant, family friendly festival we want to ensure the stalls appeal to, and suit our audiences in the borough.
  • Variety of Stalls
  • Value for money for the public

Please note, that Barking and Dagenham residents will be given priority, but we welcome people from all over who would like to join us.

If you wish to sell food and drink, you must be able to provide us with the following documents. All store holders must have Public Liability Insurance and a Risk Assessment. If you are interested in a stall but not sure you have the right documents or unsure it is for you please do get in touch and we can talk it through! We very much welcome people sharing stalls, whether you are a craft maker or a cake maker. If for example the cost is too high we can team you up with someone else for the day or you might have someone in mind to share with? It is a great way to have a wider variety on offer and plenty of stock for the busy festival!

The stalls that will be available, which you can see in the photo at the top of the page, measure 7ft x 7ft, are covered, and have a 7ft x 3ft table. We will be able to provide chairs and power can be supplied at an additional charge.

Costs:

  • Van (Hot Food/ice cream) - £100 per van.
  • Food stalls serving main meals - £80
  • Food stalls not serving main meals (ie cakes/slushies) - £50
  • Facepainting/Stalls with items for sale (ie accessories/jewellery) - £50
  • Craft stalls selling homemade items (ie candles/cards) - £20
  • Information / charity stalls - £10

Please submit your form by Tuesday 1st May 2018. All submissions will be consider by the festival steering groups and we will aim to get back to everyone to confirm your attendance by Friday 18th May 2018.
