Following on from the success of our first festival at Barking Riverside in 2015, ThamesFest returned to the area on Friday 26th August from 3-8.15pm. ThamesFest featured a brilliant variety of fun activities for all ages including: spectacular circus shows; comedy street theatre walkabouts; a very colourful brass band, fabulous local dance groups, a retro roller disco, family art and circus workshops, face painters, a BMX and dance battle, a troupe of playful gorillas, an allotment with vegetable puppets and a wide range of stalls from local traders selling food, drink and crafts.

A highlight of the festival was the performance of a jaw dropping new show called BLOCK by Motionhouse Dance and No Fit State Circus. No Fit State are a world famous circus troupe who performed for us in 2014 at Barking Riverside with their brilliant Open House show.  Scroll down to see the full programme for the day!

Amazing day out!
— Heidi, local resident who attended last year's festival
