To commemorate Refugee Week, we are offering tickets to watch ‘The Walk’ - a documentary following the story of Amal, a giant puppet of a young Syrian refugee girl. She’s a 10-year-old symbolising the joint struggles of millions in her situation across the world; and a beacon of hope that we can unite as human beings to create a welcoming space for all!

Creative Barking & Dagenham African Drumming Workshop

Join us for an evening of rhythm, music, and expression with the fantastic Mbilla Arts! Experience the rhythm and energy of West Africa in this two-hour drumming workshop led by our master musician, Seneke Sillah. You’ll learn the cultural background of the djembe, develop basic playing techniques, and take part in an engaging call-and-response session with traditional rhythms.
